Active Server Pages (ASP), also known as Classic ASP, was introduced in 1998 as Microsoft's first server side scripting engine.
ASP is a technology that enables scripts in web pages to be executed by an Internet server.

ASP.NET

ASP.NET is a development framework for building web pages and web sites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and server scripting.

ASP.NET supports three different development models:

• Web Pages
• MVC (Model View Controller)
• Web Forms:

ASP.NET has better language support, a large set of user controls, XML-based components, and integrated user authentication.

PHP

• PHP stands for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor
• PHP supports many databases (MySQL, Informix, Oracle, Sybase, Solid, PostgreSQL, Generic ODBC, etc.)
• PHP is an open source software
• PHP is free to download and use

C# (C sharp)

C# (pronounced "C-sharp") is an object-oriented programming language from Microsoft that aims to combine the computing power of C++ with the programming ease of Visual Basic.
C# is based on C++ and contains features similar to those of Java.
C# is designed to work with Microsoft's .Net platform.
